  • Big changes to the Disability Support Fund: what providers need to know
    on June 17, 2026 at 4:27 am

    The Australian Government has updated the Disability Support Fund (DSF) guidelines for universities, effective 1 July 2026. The changes, signed by Minister Jason Clare on 25 May 2026, introduce new requirements around disability governance, inclusion strategies, and reporting. The updates follow increased DSF funding committed in the 2024–25 Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook. In return for more funding, universities will need to show that people with disability are guiding how it is spent, supported by clear, publicly available strategies. Most new requirements apply from the 2027 grant year, giving providers time to prepare.
